The Saucy, Storytelling Strategist

Welcome to my world — where culture, commentary, and creativity collide.

A Multifaceted Journey

TV Personality & Legacy Builder

I’m a dynamic media personality fuelled by the power of storytelling and social transformation. Whether I’m on screen, behind the mic, or in a strategy session, I blend creative insight with lived experience to challenge, explore, and rewrite the narratives that shape our world.

My work is rooted in the West Indian migrant experience in the UK—unpacking how cultural erasure and generational disrespect can be alchemised into strength, clarity, and self-defined success.

In 2007, I was selected from over 10,000 applicants to compete on BBC’s The Apprentice with Lord Alan Sugar. As one of the youngest candidates that season, I made my mark through action not just ideas. I led the infamous boys’ team to a resounding win on the very first coffee task, delivered another victory as project manager, and earned my spot in the final 7.

The Official Apprentice Magazine named us “The Magnificent 7” - A badge of grit, vision, and impact.

That experience sparked something in me. A fire to build my legacy on my own terms—as a strategist, storyteller, and cultural force. And I’ve been building empires ever since

Media & Storytelling:

Whether I’m on screen or behind the microphone, my goal is to spark conversations that matter. Through my podcast, THE OTHERWISE, I explore how racism and historical erasure impacts every facet of our lives—from our personal relationships to our educational journeys. I reveal how turning that disrespect into a tool for self-discovery empowers us to remember who we really are.

Author & Social Commentator:

My debut book,

Thank You for the Disrespect.

If You Didn’t Show Me, How Would I Know?

is a candid social commentary on the effects of children and grandchildren born to West Indian migrant parents in the UK. It examines how disconnection from our ancestral roots—erased by the legacy of slavery—reshapes love, education, and everyday interactions. Continuing this exploration, subsequent titles like ‘Black Girl Pon TV’ and ‘Forged in the Fire’ provide further insights into the transformative journey through adversity, blending social science with personal reflection.

Brand Strategist

At the core of my work is strategy.
As the founder of JJ CONSULTS, I help bold brands, founders, and teams elevate their business from the inside out — blending structure with story, and vision with execution.

From operations and systems to messaging and experience design, I bring strategy that sells and sustains.
I’ve worked with entrepreneurs, agencies, and creatives ready to scale, pivot, or get unstuck — and I build businesses that actually work behind the scenes.

Educator & Speaker:

I am committed to igniting change by sharing these insights with diverse audiences—be it in schools, universities, or teacher forums. My presentations bridge lived experience with academic research, offering a nuanced look at the immigrant experience and encouraging dialogue that honors our rich, complex heritage.
